Senior Marketing Manager - Course Marketing

Position Overview:

NetCom Learning sells, builds and delivers NetCom Learning’s business and IT training to individuals, Corporate and Government accounts. We are looking for an experienced and self-directed marketing leader who can expand our business for the assigned IT training categories into the next stage of rapid global growth.

You will build and execute a strong go to marketing plan to help launch new products, drive awareness of our technology training and acquire new clients.

You will act as the business manager for the assigned technology training categories developing a deep understanding of the target decision makers and learner community.

You will be responsible for designing and executing integrated marketing campaigns to generate qualified leads for the Public class enrollment, private class training opportunities and learning solutions, and any net-new, driving awareness and lead generation activities for selected technology training categories targeting north American region.

You will act as the business manager for the assigned technology training categories developing a deep understanding of the target decision makers and learner community.

You will be expected to innovate and will be empowered to expand our marketing and communication horizons to new channels and approaches. this role will hold a high bar for measurement of marketing activities, and will define success metrics, measurement methods and reporting processes.


General Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities for The Position Include:

    • Take complete ownership of Go-To-Market through multiple brand & marketing campaigns to grow the revenue for the assigned technology training categories.
    • Have leadership skills & a sense of urgency to drive the marketing ecosystem since the marketing manager will be working with teams in digital marketing, content marketing, thought leadership, corporate brand team, and the varied agencies to execute the marketing agenda for the assigned technology training categories.
    • Will be responsible for creating and managing annual operation planning of marketing for the assigned IT training categories, working towards brand awareness, and driving leads through marketing efforts.
    • She/ He will be expected to operate cross-functionally to create the value propositions, campaign propositions and execution the annual marketing plan.
    • By developing an in-depth understanding of the assigned technology training categories, the manager will be expected to recommend key insights for communication and articulation as well as developing GTM plan to increase the revenue.
    • The role requires the ability to work in extremely high-pressure situations and on time-bound projects. Must be able to work with ‘virtual’ teams across the world and lead / motivate them adopt brand strategies and be flexible to frequent business travel.
    • Define and execute the marketing plan to reach target enterprise decision makers and learns worldwide, including managing budget, forecasting and regular reporting.
    • Own the development of value propositions, core content, marketing, and go-to-market strategies for a training category.
    • Work with product and course marketing teams to manage timelines and distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages for the target audience.
    • Craft compelling, audience-specific messages and campaigns (videos, customer success stories, demos, whitepapers, presentations, how to guides etc.) to fuel our digital marketing engine.
    • Help identify, evaluate and develop partnership opportunities, including co-marketing with LARs, SI, user groups, communities and industry events.
    • Execute local events to engage decision makers and learner with technical training or compelling content, including optimizing our events to drive efficiency of event activity all-up.
    • Drive innovation in audience experiences and partner with social engines and community influencers to scale our message, awareness, and adoption.
    • design, Develop the strategy, core positioning and messaging for the marketing programs.
    • Oversee development, planning and execution of marketing programs for new and existing offerings, including working closely with cross functional teams such as Product, Sales, Operations, Faculty & Curriculum, Legal, Design and more.
    • Conduct periodic campaign analysis and optimize as needed.
    • Uncover user insights, develop hypotheses, and drive research plans by maintaining a deep empathy for our students’ needs.
    • Attend online and in-person marketing events.
    • Develop and track budgets.
    • Measure success of various marketing campaigns. Take accountability for business results, setting clear, measurable campaign goals and tracking progress against enrollment goals.
    • Driving the complete marketing program strategy & marketing calendar, program development priorities, and release plans.
    • Set strategic marketing program direction and goals based on customer and business needs.
    • Conduct comprehensive industry trend analysis, including market, competitive and pricing trends.
    • Develop sales enablement tools and train sales team to follow up opportunities generated the marketing program.
    • Drive, manage, track and optimize the marketing programs.


    • Preferred MBA from a premier institute with overall 5 to 7 years of experience in US B2B business with at least 5 years in a marketing program management/ marketing and project management roles.
    • A proven history of growing revenue.
    • Familiarity with both strategic corporate digital transformation and corporate learning & development.
    • Must be highly self-motivated, proactive and self-sufficient.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to influence without authority.
    • Experience at a technology focused company and/or in a digital marketing role.
    • Strong attention to detail; demonstrated experience building schedules, organizing resources, and managing budgets. Ability to juggle many tasks without losing sight of priorities, staying focused under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Cross-functional experience working directly with Product, Engineering, Design, and Sales.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capable of understanding the Flatiron School brand and voice; Experience writing concise and compelling marketing copy.
    • Proactive, can-do attitude with strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment; comfort working at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated initiative, persistence, ability to problem solve and enthusiasm for learning new skills.
    • Strong analytical, critical, and creative-thinking skills demonstrating familiarity of the creative process as well as comfort with analyzing data.
    • Preference for experience with online communities, e-commerce and/or marketplaces.
